Following the remarkable success of the initial La Social bar in Beijing, they expanded the concept to Shanghai,I was asked to create a space that was twice the size to cater to an even larger audience of enthusiastic patrons.
This new location continued the unique blend of Latin and Chinese influences that made the Beijing bar a hit. The Shanghai bar features even more vibrant murals painted on brushed concrete walls, creating a dramatic and artistic atmosphere. Playful nods to China’s Communist history add an intriguing layer of kitsch and nostalgia throughout the space. With an abundance of color and carefully curated chintz, this bar offers a truly immersive experience that delights the senses. Designed as a feast for the eyes and a social hub, the Shanghai bar invites both locals and expats to enjoy an unforgettable night out in one of the city’s most exciting new hotspots.
